Vidnami was a mid-tier, accessible video automation tool popular among SMBs and solo content creators, competing on ease-of-use and speed rather than advanced production capabilities.

Vidnami (originally launched as Content Samurai) was a cloud-based video creation tool developed by Noble Samurai, a New Zealand-based software company. The platform was designed to dramatically reduce the time and technical skill required to produce marketing videos by automatically converting written scripts into video content, pairing text with relevant stock footage, music, and voiceovers. It became popular among digital marketers, content creators, bloggers, and small business owners who needed a cost-effective and efficient way to produce video content at scale. The platform's core appeal lay in its automation capabilities — users could paste a script, and Vidnami's AI would intelligently select matching visuals, synchronize audio, and generate a near-complete video in minutes. This positioned it as a compelling alternative to expensive video production agencies or complex editing software like Adobe Premiere. At its peak, Vidnami served tens of thousands of subscribers globally and was recognized as one of the more accessible AI-assisted video tools in the SMB and creator markets. In June 2021, GoDaddy acquired Vidnami as part of its strategy to expand its suite of digital marketing tools for small businesses. Following the acquisition, GoDaddy integrated select capabilities into its own platform and ultimately shut down the standalone Vidnami product in October 2021, discontinuing subscriptions and access for existing users. The Vidnami brand ceased to exist as an independent entity, marking the end of a tool that had been influential in democratizing video content creation for non-technical marketers.
