Alliant’s Margo Hock: First-Party Data Has Its Limits

Beet.TV

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — Brands relying exclusively on first-party data miss cross-brand consumer behavior patterns, creating blind spots that limit audience understanding beyond single-retailer interactions. “Yes, that first party data is that liquid gold for a brand. Newgrounds was the epicenter of web video. Now you can travel back in time to experience its heyday.

Tubefilter

There are very few active websites that are over 30 years old, but Newgrounds is one of them. First launched in 1995, the video hub founded by Tom Fulp housed many of the Flash animations that broke into the mainstream around the turn of the millennium. If you're not old enough to have experienced the peak of the Flash animation community, or if you're just nostalgic for a bygone era of internet culture, the Newgrounds Roulette is worth a few minutes of your time. That's the name of a website developed by Mike Wing, and as its name suggests, it offers a randomized selection of Newgrounds videos from the late nineties and early aughts. Have you heard? Noah Beck becomes a ‘Baywatch’ heartthrob while tic-tac-toe becomes an esport.

Tubefilter

Each week, we handpick a selection of stories to give you a snapshot of trends, updates, business moves, and more from around the creator industry. This week, a TikToker hits the beach (and network TV) as part of an anticipated reboot, a Paul brother receives a presidential stamp of approval, and gamers compete in the realm of noughts and crosses. Noah Beck joins the cast of FOX's Baywatch reboot. The TikTok star will portray a "rookie lifeguard" in the upcoming reboot of the classic Pamela Anderson/David Hasselhof series. Beck showed off his acting skills (and his smoldering looks) on Tubi's Sidelined: The QB and Me. Now he's headed to another FOX-owned network as part of an ensemble cast. Why AI Is Forcing Marketing to Move From Channels to Intent

Street Fight

For decades, marketing teams organized their strategies around channels—search, social, email, and paid—each measured and optimized separately. But as AI increasingly mediates how buyers discover, compare, and choose products, that channel-based model is breaking down, forcing marketers to rethink their infrastructure around something far more important: customer intent. That channel-based structure shaped everything from budgets […] Why AI Is Forcing Marketing to Move From Channels to Intent first appeared on Street Fight.
